Do you ever… wait in the snow for a bluebird sighting?

I just had to share this, my loves! (And even more of a reason as to why our “community” we are creating will go up soon!) Sandi, from Cape Cod, a regular blogette… sent our company several fabulous photos of bluebirds that showed up at her home, looking for spring. We asked Sandi if we could share with you… I know you love nature as much as we do! Our bluebirds show up here in Wisconsin about mid-March… hardly seems possible that I will need to get out there and clean out their little nest boxes soon… but I know they will come again! You must know, Sandi tells us she waited in the snow on her patio for 20 minutes to get the best shot… Oh, my girl, you are one of us! We cracked up and said we would have done the exact same thing…… waiting for beauty to land… and it always will. Thanks, Sandi! xoxoxo

Oh Tracy…
Thank you for sharing “my” precious bluebird with the world…
~ And thank you for the lovely way you did it.
You are such a warm and generous lady of spirit and grace.
~There are so many magical and wonderful sights here on Cape Cod (it would be a perfect place to visit with John and the boys some summer if you have not been already). I often have my camera with me, and will share a photo or two with you and your wonderful team from time to time…if that would be all right.
No bluebirds in sight today.. as it is just 17 degrees here this morning!
with a smile and a grateful heart, Sandi

Well worth the 20 minutes (I am impressed…especially because it’s been so #$%^& COLD here in Massachusetts this week)! What a beautiful photograph – thanks to Tracy and company for including it here for all of us to experience.
Oh how I hope he’s keeping warm this morning! As a fellow Cape Codder it was lovely to find your blog this morning! Way to go Sandi! You have inspired me to bring along my camera…summer time isn’t the only time for beach photos now is it? Isn’t the snow on the beach gorgeous…like you we recently spotted a seal out on the rocks basking in the winter sun! Thank you for sharing Sandi and Tracy!
Gorgeous, Sandi!!!
A warm and cozy “Thank you” to each of you who took a moment to write about “our” bluebird.
I am delighted to know that he has brightened YOUR day as well!
We had three bluebirds (one male and two female) that came and spent THREE whole days in the backyard… from morning to twilight… It was incredibly heavenly… and I literally spent HOURS looking out the kitchen windows totally mesmerized by them. When we moved to the Cape five years ago, there were two bluebirds that would come ONLY to drink water from our birdbath at twilight for weeks… So we named our home “Bluebird Cottage”… then for years… I looked and looked for them, but only saw a few fly in and out one afternoon two years ago… So THIS was an extra treat to have them here and enjoy their delightful company for three days in a row. I am STILL in heaven over it!
It’s the bluebird of happiness! Thank you.

Hi Tracy
Just a quick note… as I am ready to tuck into a cozy bed and do some reading (early yes… and that much sweeter). My husband (John) and I just returned home from an incredibly delicious dinner at one of our favorite little restaurants here on Cape Cod… (and one of the few that stay open year round) “Gracie’s Table”. We cozied up to their enchanting little 6 seat copper-topped candelit bar and munched on a few Tapas… m-m-m-m-m…
Wanted to respond to your question about having bluebird nest boxes on our property….
No..(unfortunately) at least at this point we do not.. but it is only because our actual property is quite small… although it backs up to the quaint 9-hole village golf course by the scrub pine trees. (But I also must share with you that John said to me at dinner tonight… “San… I am going to call the people at the golf course to see if they would allow us to put up a few bluebird nest boxes in the trees.. ”
Then I came home to see your question.. and thought.. “Well, I guess we are all on the same page”.
Gentle wishes for sweet dreams… to all.
Thank you for being such a bright light…
~ Sandi
Sandi, that husband is a keeper! LOL Hope you get the bluebird boxes.
Hi Artist
Yes, he is INDEED a ‘keeper’! VERY, VERY special indeed! We found each other a little ‘late’ in life.. but it was SO worth waiting for…
…. just coming back from a long stroll on a very cold and windy beach in Wellfleet..collected many beautiful SMOOTH Sea Stones… by the shore… bundled up head to toe like two eskimoes! It was COLD and BLUSTERY … and BEAUTIFUL! We had the entire beach to ourselves.
Feeling very blessed right now.

Sandi….love your sweet picture…thanks for sharing…
Oh how I love the title – captivated my heart to think of waiting for a bluebird…which I do! Last year we added Bluebird nesting boxes on our farm…and two pair came to make Meadowview Farm their home. We hope for their return again this spring…
Kari
When the birds do come I take the boys around to the boxes and we open them to peek in on the eggs, then soon the babies…… they are just darling little creatures… our ducks are starting to lay again now, I actually think spring is coming!!

Hello,
One of my dearest friends told me about your site today. I told her that I saved the back cover of your catalogue that I received this winter and loved.
Well, blue birds are a passion for me too, living in southern NH, we had a very long winter this year but I know it is indeed over as I have five baby blue birds in our box outside, they return every year – what a blessing. If I can post pictures I will.
Happy Spring!
