I think a hot bubble bath at least once a week , by candlelight, to rinse away that stress is key... neighborhood walks at night to enjoy lights and walk the dog.... egg nog, fires in the fireplace...a couple of good books on the nightstand....time for antiquing-WITH NO MISSION- all soothe the soul too!!! It's not always so easy to keep a slower pace when things start hoppin', but I am trying to savor the moments of each day leading up to Christmas. Like you, I'm shopping on line, having a light glass of wine in the afternoon with my husband while we pour over our dreams, and letting our house & holiday decor evolve organically and slowly. I do have to remember to take a moment for just me, too, like stopping by your blog Miss Tracy-- which is like eating chocolate! Plus we have your radio show to look forward to on Wednesday. {I hope I can call in to say hi}. Lots of good simple things are all around for the taking. Oh I enjoy you and the picture today is awesome.....I dont have to ask.... I know you had a wonderful time...and want to hear the high lights............cant wait.... So many good ideas - I second the idea of getting outside during this magical time of year - it just puts everything into wonderful perspective. Tonight, my husband and I are actually going outside, in the darkness, to plant lavender by the light of the moon (and our spotlight). It's getting late in the season and we have potted ones that need to be nestled in - maybe it sounds crazy but it's a bit of a "date" and I'll take it! Thanksgiving blessings to everyone... - It’s a Wonderful Life – I know it may be sappy to some, but my goodness it makes me cry with gratitude that someone even dreamed up a George Bailey!
