I am off today and am going to enjoy a day filled with household tasks, but… it is a beautiful day, I had the birds singing as I woke up this morning and I am going to throw my windows and my arms open to nature! And I may make some cupcakes!

Hi, and thanks for missing me Margie and Cameo. Cute pictures, the cupcakes are so cute. I have to make Easter baskets for the boys today. Mostly I put money into the fillable eggs. That’s how you get teenagers to go on an egg hunt.
Well, if you were been wondering where I’ve been…I’ve been outside. It’s truly Spring here. In fact, I’ve even been dragging my drawing classes outdoors lately to feel the breezes and sketch.

Tracy – Thank you for the Spring and Easter wishes. I have been putting mirrors in my garden for years. It’s so unexpected and when your patio is lit for a summer evening dinner party, it’s positively SPARKLY!

I am taking your fabulous tower of Bunnyliciousness idea and making it for Easter Sunday brunch, whilst singing some glorious Aria in ode to Spring!

I think you should have a retreat, in the likeness of your radio show. A weekend of inspiration for women. (or longer) Fill it with all that inspires us. An undertaking for sure and maybe you do it only once, or for a season. But honestly….what an amazing gift of yourself and your team.

Happy spring to all! Thank you for the wonderful ideas, fantastic sale and amazing new fashions – I am drooling over many! Figured out the evening attire for my upcoming event but will be on the hunt for daytime party dress at this fundraiser. Wahoo! Online catalog here I come! Oh yes, Angela, sometimes I admit I get sentimental for their sweet childhood days where money was irrelevant except that it could buy candy so cut to the chase and just give me candy.
Sigh.
Now I’m wracking my brain to come up with manly teenage ideas to put in their baskets…protein shake mixes, megavitamins, Axe body spray (no, mom that’s so middle school), boxer shorts, an iPhone (no I just can’t deal with AT&T’s customer service department again), clean socks???
Oh it was simpler wasn’t it when it was a matter of some stuffed animals, a kite and lots of candy. I know some teens would still be pleased with that… but not mine. I’d be doing that for me I guess and it would all end up in the trash can. But I think I could still sneak a yo-yo in and it would get some use.

MAUREEN…protein powder was all I could come up with…but I’m off the hook…nobody will be here EASTER morning…gift recipient must be present!!! Glad all is well…your students must love you!!! Oh I just had a not-very-deep thought about Peeps. They should dip them in dark chocolate. My kids still wouldn’t eat them, but I would.

Hey, Angela, I went to the Peep’s website and they just introduced dark chocolate covered peeps for Easter. And no, I don’t work for Peeps, but you know…I did see this bit on their website for Peeps fondue where you dip peeps in dark chocolate and then roll them around in sprinkles or coconut and you know….I am so doing that for alternative dessert.
But fresh strawberry pie….my mom used to make that. It’s a must.
