Happy New Year! Tracy, thank you for more inspired and inspiring ideas to keep the jollification going! We came home to a winter wonderland after visiting family and Monet (at the MoMA in NY). Tonight our dear Cameron will do the sword dance at a Celtic New Year–many of the traditions listed here are Scottish (not to mention Auld Lang Syne). Wishing all of you a beautiful 2010, looking fabulous of course in head to toe Tracy Porter! ~Lauren

Tracy…Happy New Year to you….we are celebrating in the Grand Caymans!!! Flew here yesterday, and our dear friends are getting married tomorrow at sunset…so romantic! I just had to share…I gave the Pop-Up book of Phobias to my Uncle for Christmas, who is a Dentist…he of course LOVED the first pop -up!! What a FUN book and I highly reccomend it as well! I also gave the Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Society to a friend for Christmas, she had read it and said it was one of her FAVORITE books and re-gifted it back to me…so I have brought it along here with me to our vacation and have just started it!!….Have fun ringing in the New Year with those you love! xoxo

Such a beautiful clock for ringing in the New Year! Does it chime?! Love this photo!
If any of you have the Tracy Porter Wish boxes, tonight would be a perfect time to write a new wish and put it under the lid as the moon shines blue!
Happy times all!

New Year’s Eve greetings, everyone!!!…TRACY…love the Birdscapes book with the popups and audio!!!….our neighborhood is very wooded, and I love listening to the songs of the birds on my daily morning walk…especially the song of the cardinals…cheery, cheery, cheery…if hearing that little tune doesn’t put one in a good mood, I don’t know what will!!…ta-ta, girls!!…I’m off to create a Tracy-inspired tablescape for tomorrow’s brunch buffet!!!…I wish each of you much good cheer this evening and a happy and healthy 2010!!…warmly, Kat

LOVE the pop-up books – I am going to order the birdscape one for my birthday, which is in a couple of weeks….It is freezing here, so the Grand Caymans sound particularly delectable!!!!

Hope everyone has fun tonight!

Talk about layers! These are grand pop-ups and such a great idea – wouldn’t it be fun to incorporate into vignettes? (Well, some more than others…not sure about vignetting the Phobias book…)
Thank you for all of the kind words about my post from yesterday…went on a little bit of a soliloquy there…but it was all TRUE!
Pamela, I love the idea of using one of Tracy’s beautiful Wish Boxes (frog, fish, parrot…etc.)for wishes! At first I thought you meant the lovely green jewelry gift boxes (which would also be fun). That moon really is spectacular right now – so full and bright to usher in the new year!

Hola Tracy!! Funny how things just show up for you sometimes…like petit fours..ran into whole foods for one thing and left with a tray of pf’s…they were being assembled right at the counter…as if they knew i was coming…i am a professed “sugar junkie”…nothing i plan to work on in 2010 though!!! they are so pretty to look at with all those artistry details..mmmm..goodness!! I just glanced at our daily desktop calendar(i’m at the kitchen counter)..i really bought it with the boys in mind because it’s titled “the inspired athlete”..i am pretty sure i have loved it the most..today’s, last of the year, reads..”never look where you are going. always look where you want to go.” i will have to order another because Border’s did not carry it this year…www.makefun.com…nothing like waiting til the last minute!!!! Anyone else have a favorite calendar? Can’t wait to delight in TP fashion and the like with all of you in 2010!!! Celebratory Wishes to all….Margie

Hi Tracy! Hope you have a great day today and a great New Year’s Day tomorrow! I don’t have much as far as plans for tonight – perhaps go to my church’s game night or instead or afterwards, watch It’s a Wonderful Life since I missed watching it before Christmas this year (it’s a tradition) LOVE that clock by the way!

Happy New Years Tracy!
Love the pop up books too….(and one of my favorite books of all time is The Little Prince… the quote under my High School photo was a quote from it “It is only with the Heart that one can see rightly, what is essential is invisible to the eye.”
Have you seen this wonderful “Pop Up” Video “Lille” from Lisa Hannigan?… It is INCREDIBLE and oh-so-Wonder-FULL

I’m so jazzed you posted these books. I was listening to your radio show while trying to install an new light fixture and couldn’t write down the titles. I missed these for Christmas, but they’ll make great birthday gifts! Thanks and happy 2010!

These are wonderful!!….and they reminded me I have been meaning to ask you if you have seen Tony Duquettes new book – More is More??
I discovered Tony Duquette last year after you talked about great books in one of your Friday sessions. I went and bought and it is a treasure just to open even for a few minutes and dream of those great rooms.:) Thank you!
