Xoxo,
T.
p.s. One more thought for the day…..the way I see it (meaning life, and everything in general…oh man, could I be more vague?) It….. (all) is about the journey…I have always felt this way, even more so with every passing day, month, year……so go on darlings….EXPLORE the layers of life…they are everywhere, just waiting for you. xoxo
P.P.S. (so 7th grade of me to do a P.P.S. I know)…but…if you cannot catch our LIVE show today…you can hang with me on the flip side…later, podcast style!!
Artfully Inspired Holiday Thoughts…and Tidbits

It doesn’t take much to make magic happen during the holidays….consider this wintery landscape….. a simple frost covered wreath placed with a poetic heart around a han horse….this could be any relic though, perhaps a statue from your garden. A lovely cachepot that housed a lavender plant this summer, now provides a charming nest for holiday beads and baubles. A sense of beauty here and there can go a long way. These sorts of opportunities are everywhere in your home. Open up your dream files and explore!

I crave the idea of layers added into my chandeliers. So indulge I do. Another 5 minutes to fabulous story…I know you like those too. Cheers!
Marinated Olives with Herbs & Garlic……Madness I tell you, madness!!!!
OK, so feel free (as always) to give this your own wonderment. My version is superbly tasty (how audacious of me) and will have you “not” bending your fingers for days. (the true test of olive madness). So do your dusting before you slurp up a bowl of these!
1/2 Onion, cut thinly
1 TBS. grated orange peel
Ground Pepper…to taste
1 Cup Olive Oil
1/4 Cup balsamic vinegar
1/4 Cup tarragon vinegar
2 Cups large green Olives or black kalamata
Combine all ingredients in a bowl. Then transfer into jars. Marinate in refrigerator for 3 days minimum before sinking your teeth in. Be sure to flip the jars over a few times while they soak up the goodness. A most darling, delicious and perfectly gift~able gift!!
Festive Sale Extended! *Excludes rugs & lighting. Enter code “festive45″ at checkout & hit “Go”!! Expires 12/10 at midnight CST! Pure Jollification!! xo.

TRACY~~~~~~~OH Sweet Heaven~~~~~~You are just over the top of the snow bank….I of course could lick your face and bit the tip of your nose…..and wish I could be there to go sledding with you down a hill screaming opera. You are so wonderful to me and there again just opened the door for me to tell you the wonder of it all…..Christmas…celebrating Jesus Birthday…..and sharing peace and joy with all….You do it well…..but please put him in your heart….as he is the GIVER. I can remember many many years ago….I started tithing….in my church and other organizations….even an indian tribe out west (the west holds my heart), well low and behold the Lord gives back…….now, I am only a working class citizen, but am blessed beyond my measure of gratitude…..and in reading his word just this AM….I am reminded of something so wonderful to me…Tracy I have to share….They say when we get to heaven we will see COLORS we have never experienced or seen before…., isnt that just an awesome thought and OUR bodies will be glorified…..meaning, since I am wrinkeling and getting older by the day….I will be beautiful again….and also will not have any aches or pains…and my little finger I lost as a child will be there on my hand…..I will have lots and lots of hair again….and you will be transported in the twinkling of an eye to any where you want to be….WONT THAT BE AWESOME….telling you in a fast form as it is more detailed than what I am saying now….but this time of year I am wondered in the spirit and so happy…..this is me…..and I give to you My Friend, peace, joy, happiness and great cheer…..and even more energy right down to the very last detail of Christmas fluffing, buffing, huffing, gruffing, duffing, stuffing, puffing and etc….lolololo~~~ ~{{{]]]~ Later!!!
Good Morning Tracy!
Have a great day!!
Did you get a ton of snow in the past day like we did?? (We live in a Milw. suburb)
Love the ideas, like ALWAYS!! I can’t wait to make the olives…as soon as I can DIG my way out to get to the store!!
Can I ask you…what did you end up doing with the boy’s shower curtain and when is your new book coming out? What do you think of having a contest? We(your fans, me being the biggest…) send you our UGLIEST room picture, and the “winner” (haha!) receives helpful tips from you via your website? Good idea?
Oh Valery, thank you for the reminder of the Greater things to come. Well said!
Tracy, are you joking about the two hour slot on Toginet? As you well know one hour a week is simpley not enough time for the live chatter! The show just zips by too fast and you, with so much goodness to say and encouragement to give!.. Leaves us here at home wishing for more!
Yes, we Are enjoying the Journey.
hugs, Laura and the Girls

Dear Tracy, You are the most inspirational person! I am a stay at home and I have incorporated your ideas into my home all through the year. But your Christmas ideas are the best. I went to the doller store and bought white Christmas balls and seashells for my table. I hosted a holiday tea for my little 10 year old cousin! The center piece would have made you proud! Thanks again for your blog!
Hellllllooooo Darling Tracy!
I was finally home on Wed. and set the timer so I can listen live. Such a nice way to reward myself!
I have to tell you that I usually buy craft paper for wrapping, but this year I am only using recycled paper. I also make fabric gift bags, and recycle yours buy sewing a recycled card or photo copy of the person over your logo. Everyone knows where I get them-because I tell them!
Thanks for sharing all your yummy idea’s!
Char
Tracy….wonderful show as usual and YES YES YES to “it’s a choice to be happy”…have had to turn around and kick myself in the pants a few times and remind myself, but what a better day, a better life to have the right attitude!!! Hope your donkey was able to make it home safe in this wonderful blizzard
Tracy,
So glad that I had your show to listen to today! I am in the middle of finals for grad. school and one of them is this laborious take-home final that is just eating my time like a kid eats candy! I came down with some sort of bad headache/sore throat combo last night, so I have been poorly motivated to finish this exam. I told myself: Okay, Hannah, work on your exam for two hours, then you can listen to Tracy Porter!
Such a treat, as always. Thank you!
Blessings.
Enjoyed your show so much today! And it’s so true that if you can have the “big picture” view of things, the right perspective, it makes all the difference in your life! I feel that so much of that has to do with faith, which grounds you so much.
Thank you for all your fun stories & ideas! (especially love the kitty stories & pix!!!)
Great show today Tracy! Love to hear your decorating ideas and excited to try the cider. And Valery (tho i do not know you except as a sister in Christ) i would like to add an Amen!
Hi Tracy -
those of up unhappy souls who were working today are anxiously awaiting the podcast! Don’t those lovely souls at toginet know that we need our fix!
We have just inherited your blizzard here in Atlantic Canada – it is posively howling out there, but I am more than content with my tea and Sirius-XM just launched Christmas Pops for the season – is anyone else a sucker for good choral christmas music? I cannot get enough!!!! John’s brother would be a little disgusted in my little spot as well with all the Christmas music!
Can’t wait to hear the show! And Valery – you just shed a lot of goodness, sister!
Tra la la la la……la la la la ….. Great Radio Show today love!!!!! Ya know,…….. you are singing my song when you talk of perspective. I have to keep the force balanced within me. When I am on overload, i have to back up and shake off some of the weight. I can’t worry about who I offend or who disagrees with me. It works swimmingly for me!!!!!!!!!
CLAUDINE, ANNE-MARIE, and KAT in TX…thank you loves for your kind comments regarding my Father.
KAT in TX,……….how long did the snow stick around, in the big Houston town?
TRACY, please do put handles on your green bags,……. I would much rather take your classy bags with me shopping……….a great way to advertise too,….. and make sure you keep that gorgeous gold emblem on them as well!!!!!!!!
Hope everyone is enjoying fabulous holiday decorating!!!!!!!!!!!! I have my abode jam packed with so many holiday layers,…….. I can hardly find space to walk……………… I kid you not!!!!!!!! Got my formal dining room table loaded with TP’s Auguste Coq, Lenox Holiday china, vintage ruby red goblets, and TP’s blue Luna, and green Verde vessels. Popped TP’s Lovely Village right smack dab in the center of the table, and have my christmas village houses, and snow scattered all around the plates and goblets……… Had to do some creative concealing of the cords………………I’m talking small slits in the tablecloth……….but a magical, exuberant, snowy, countryside has just been birthed………much like your abode TP,……… I suppose……. I think i shall light her up, pour a jam jar of vino, then sit and gaze for a while………maybe TRACY or SARAH will pop their head out of one of the sparkling silver snow covered cottages, and chat with me for a while!!!!!!!!!!!…………….. IMAGINE………….
Love you sooooooooo
Cameoxoxox
Sweetie, it all looks wonderful chez vous. Can’t wait to try the Olive Madness, thanks so much for the recipe. Must continue to deck my own halls. No snow here in California, but it IS low 30’s overnight, which is really, really chilly for us in our paper bungalows here at the beach. xoxo Lidy
Tracy…GREAT show today…I was taking notes the whole time!!! Lucy and I were sipping Hot Cider at our kitchen table with the fire on while listening to you today! I just keep adding another layer to my home everyday…it is so fun! Thank you for reminding me to keep it all perspective!! xoxo
I can’t wait to try out this yummy sounding recipe! Mmm mmm good!
Can’t wait to listen to your podcast.

We missed a lot of the snow but got the COLD….brrrr….I, too, am LOVING the olive recipe as I told you last week of my absolute problem with salt! And I wonder why I can’t get my rings off!

Hey, Tracy….another terrific show today!!…so happy I could join you and the girls, and many thanks for the inspiration, ideas, and goodies…I’m still putting holiday finishing touches on my casa…clipped some branches off the yaupon and put them in a vase in my entry…greenery and red berries….purrrrr-fect!!!….CAMEO, dear…your dining room table sounds DIVINE!!!…and I LOVE the idea of a JAM JAR of vino over which to admire your creation!!!….it only snowed one day here in H-Town last week and by noon the next day, it had all melted
….it was such a treat for us….I stood on my front porch for the longest time just watching it fall
….no snow this time around for us Gulf Coasters….for those of you in the thick of THE BLIZZARD, bundle up ’cause baby, it’s cold outside!!!….BRRRRR!!!!…..warmly, Kat
LOVES….thank you for all of your loveliness…and non stop jollification!! What a marvy group of cool folks you are!! I love hearing about all of your decorating holiday-i-fi-cation…( nice…sort of a jolly new version for all of us)…I adore knowing what you have going on in your homes…makes me think, and inspires me to no end…for new designs and all
..we got home safely…roads are slippy-sliddy…..but so very pretty out, John and the boys had a hard core snowball fight…Gus and I made a big old pot of hot cocoa…..

Hello!
I have never posted before, so happy winter to all. I had to say thanks for the wonderful olive recipe – makes a great addition to my favorite garlic stuffed olives, baked brie and salty potato chip snacks! Enjoying the radio program, and soaking up all your inspiration! Thanks for all your sharing!
Wonderful show. Love the notion of choosing to be happy. I truly believe that attitude changes outcome – and frequently need to remind myself of this.
Thanks for the great offers. I’m a little sad about so many items being sold out or on backorder in the small size. Clearly this has been a popular collection and maybe next time around I can get on the ordering faster. Alas.
Thanks for everything and enjoy the festive snow!
Hello Tracy, just want to say “great show” and good tid-bits…i have to listen to podcast though to catch the last half…i started hearing double!! I take no blame for I was not near the computer…i was disguise wrapping some slippers for hubby in a dr. pepper 12pk box… If anyone has a Trader Joe’s nearby, there new styled flyers make for a unique wrap for small gifts. I “gobbled” up their leftover Thanksgiving ones (had a good vintage feel)and wrapped 2 electric razors with them. Then tied them up with some kitchen string and a glue wax seal!! Very cute!!! Please don’t tell them I sent you…Tracy, you exemplify Christmas throughout the year with your “giving” spirit and “human understanding” and I am thankful and really appreciate the way you reach out to all!!! Good tidings to you, Margie
So looking forward to listening to todays show on podcast- had a scurry around here, there and everywhere kind of day so it will be nice to just sit with a glass of something festive and listen to the show.
You are always so generous with your sales and giveaways Tracy!
Today I wore my fur trimmed blue vest from last years collection and got tons of compliments on it. Everyone thought it was a vintage piece!!!
Can’t wait to see what you come up with for Spring!!!! oxoxox, Jennifer
TRACY, I missed the show today but will be checking out the podcast so count me in on your give-away!!!……Now…Choosing to Be Happy?….and what’s other option?….I’m with YOU all the way! ………….Thanks and do drive carefully!!! If it’s anything like down by me….as Yukon Cornelius said…”Isn’t a fit night out for man nor beast!!”
Mary Ann
Tracy, Loved the show today. Isn’t it great to have a Prince who will go to the Grocery store for you? What a blessing that is!
You know right before the radio show I was out in my yard snipping the Holly Bushes to bring some Green into the house. 45mph windgust here in southern IL….FREEZING cold temps.. My kids thought Mama was out her mind!! Just more Jollification for the Household. We want some snow too!!!
Laura

:):)
Thank you for all the inspiration you’re offering us during this crazy season. Love your radio show and I’m so happy you posted your granda’s olive recipe. You mentioned a delicious hot drink on last week’s radio show too… don’t forget to post that, please. Thanks Tracy and Happy holidays!! Go’in to get me some olives.
Hi Tracy,
Great show today! I know we all appreciate you braving the elements to gift us with yet more inspiration and heart warming thoughts. I glean so many yummy tidbits from each show and you make it seem effortless and natural. I just re-watched last years Christmas segments in your video library and really enjoyed each and every one, they are so magical.
I also wanted to mention how much I am blessed by the graphics when I log onto your site-like the jolly old St. Nicholas the other day, and the layers of colors and textures are superb!
Thanks again for a wonderfully uplifting show. I just love listening to your cheerfulness! This past weekend I had a “Tracy Porter cooking time”. I made your pork loin recipe (my children’s absolute favorite now), your roasted vegetable pasta, sunday night pot roast and your swiss chard recipes! Yum, Yum! Thank you so much for teaching me how to cook! I have so many more of your recipes to try – how exciting – they are all fantastic! I so appreciate your wonderful recipes! By the way, I think you have a fantastic voice – keep on singing!
Hello lovely lady! Can’t wait to try your little concoction for apple cider! That does sound like the most yummy in tummy beverage. Thanks for the hour of company this afternoon. Love to listen while I work…lalala la la la laaa. And as Jan mentioned, I so love the fabulous graphics too! I could frame some of those babies. Your creativity at the studio is endless. By the way, I wanted to mention that today on Ellen, she sang the word “fantaaabulous” in opera. Of course I had to smile because I immediately thought of you. That opera is catchy. Wishing you sweet joy during this holiday season!
Hello Tracy!
I love the show! I too reuse the gift packaging! It keeps recirculating throughout our family. It’s great. Merry Christmas!

Wonderful show. Was fun to listen to as we were snowed in too! Madison WI What a winter wonderland. I’m looking for the hot chocolate recipe you mentioned last show also.
Hi all, really enjoyed the show and was so glad, Tracy, that you mentioned truffle butter. It’s going to be a great addition to a gift basket I’m gathering for a dear friend. While I’m looking forward to making the truffle butter, a good source for it is D’Artagnan (dartagnan.com). You can purchase the truffle butter for $7.99 (3 Oz.), $13.99 (8 oz.), or 1 lb ($20.99). On another note, I love the word jollifcation. It puts a smile on my face every time I hear it.
Just saying hello-enjoyed chatting on the show…it was fun to listen to while wrapping today! Cider on stove sounds like a winner for tomorrow when i’m home all day….and cannot wait to try these olives…may take them to my holly’s college graduation this weekend!
Yum!
Thanks for all the CHEER to keep us going in this approach to mid December !You keep us going!!!
PS i make your English Trifle and it is always a smashing hit….will do again THIS MONTH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Bonjour Tracy,
Brrrrrrr it’s cold outside. You took me back to my Minnesota days with all that talk of snow. I used to love snuggling in on a “Snow Day!”
Love your show and the inspirational note you bring every week. AHHHH, perspective! How right you are. So easy to lose it when lost in one’s challenges. Sometimes just getting outside and talking with others about their lives brings it right back. Thank you for your incredible generosity and bright light…Linda
Hi Tracy,
Thank you for the great sale and chance to win the gift certificate, very generous of you!
I took your advise about taking a little time everyday to do some decorating for Christmas…so what if it takes weeks to do! I must say that by doing this it has been much more enjoyable and looks more beautiful as I continue to add layers..thanks again.
Hi Tracy,

Anne-Marie,
My heart goes out to you. Your sweet dog’s love is forever with you. Comfort and hugs. . .
Tracy & Co,
Aren’t big SUV’s the greatest? I wouldn’t trust driving anything else in the winter. I am sure that’s what got you into the studio on Wednesday! I must confess that I was listening to the radio with one ear that afternoon. My neighbor Kim and her kids were over and while the kids were out in the snow, we were watching Julie and Julia per Sarah W’s recommendation. Awesome movie…just loved it!So, this afternoon while I am doing some wrapping and I will be listening to the show with both ears.
xo, KK
Thanks for all the Christmas goodness on the show! So much fun!
