Tracy, listened to your radio show LIVE today! Was so interesting and exciting. Of course, I rushed right on over to leave a comment when you announced the very nice $250 gift certificate:) I missed last weeks show, however I just subscribed to your podcast feed to ensure I don’t miss ever again.

I would love to hear you talk about balancing work and motherhood. I own my own business, and just 4 months ago became a new mom. I give MAJOR props out to all the working momma’s out there. However, owning your owning business, and striving for success in your business takes A LOT of time. How were you able to achieve such success with Tracy Porter the business and Tracy Porter the mom?!?!?!

Hi Tracy, I am listening to your radio show about Thanksgiving and like you, I look forward to the holidays and all that goes into preparing for it. Our Thanksgiving feast is massive every year and it is so much fun eating all the various items. Yum-O!! We really don’t have a tradition. But we still have a great time because everyone is together. That is what I am most thankful for … everyone being together. :-)

Loved the show today. My family and I are currently living with my brother while we wait for our new home to be built, so hearing about decorating and preparing for the holidays really has me missing a home of my own! You asked about future shows and I, for one, would be interested in learning about how you and Sarah met, started working together, and how you and John grew your company. Of course, it goes without saying that fashion and decorating discussions are always appreciated as well! Thanks for all you do!

Loved the show! I just noted that I can pull up last week’s and listen – can’t wait. What a treat for all of us. Tracy, I , too, am a turkey trusser. I also keep a trussing needle so I can literally stitch up the end of the cavity to hold all of the stuffing in – I love doing that! Sarah, I’m now going to have a children’s bar – thanks for that wonderful idea. Keep up your warm and cozy inspiration, Tracy and Sarah!

Tracy Porter,

You are inspiring! I am a huge fan and am happy to hear you on the radio.

So here is what I do … not a tradition, but my own little invention. When making chocolate chip cookies, I take a little of the uncooked cookie batter (avoiding the unmelted chips) and use it as a “frosting” over a warm cookie. It melts in your mouth!

So that is my “rethinking” of how to enjoy the ultimate in warm chocolate chip cookies… just out of the oven.

So that was my comment!

Lately my Mama and I have been doing lots of projects, and one of them is where we felt wool sweaters and then cut them up and make lots of thing out of them, such as capes or ponchos and Christmas stockings! It is so fun! We love your radio show and website, mostly we like were you show how to make the crafts and thing that you do! I am almost big enough to wear Mama’s clothes, and she has most of the outfits that I like from your store!

Great show today – you two have such great chemistry. Definately make sure to be on together again! My kids and I listened (while making baked apples!) and they loved the treasure hunt idea for Thanksgiving – especially using a map with clues on the the back. Our family does something similar – but because many of the cousins are quite young we set up teams of adults and children, with a little prize for everyone at the end.

So nice to talk to you today! I will be bringing my disposable -leftover-tubs to Mom’s house so we can bring home all the leftovers properly this year! My biggest laugh during the show today was when Tracy asked about dressing up….I went straight to the turkey costume in my head! Thinking of John dressing up after catching that bird for you! I know what you meant though, and, no, we are casual here for Thanksgiving. That may change though!xoxo Kim

Listened to the show today- can’t wait for even more! I just got my first ever order from you today, and I’m planning on wearing the Octavia combo tonight (it’s perfectly divine and so flattering!). I would be thrilled (would probably scream actually, haha) to win the shopping cert. I will probably be alone for Thanskgiving this year, but I’m still maybe going to make a few special recipes just because it’s fun (just have to make sure I either make a lot less or freeze what I don’t eat). I would love to hear little tips on dressing to flatter different shapes. From your years of modeling, I’m sure you’ve picked up lots of good tidbits – this short-waisted, long-legged, wide hipped, narrow-shouldered 5′2″ gal would love some insight :)

Keep it coming girls! I loved the show today–it felt really relaxed and and just yummy. Lots of good ideas, things I hadn’t thought about . . . and the little girl caller was such a doll! I love everything you bring to us, from your radio show, to your videos, to your to-drool-over designs and home wares. I’m quite smitten with your style, Tracy, because it goes beyond just fashion — there’s a message there as well. I think that a person could fill a house with all the beautiful things in the world and somehow miss the point. I don’t want to miss the point as I try to evolve our space {beachy style house meets Tracy Porter}. I’m adding some new things {I received my huntress antlers set yesterday-LOVE!}, but I am also trying to use some of the old, encrusted things lurking in storage, like antiques I didn’t think I liked, etc. I feel like you are leading the way for me to see things in a different light. I like that.

Keep lighting the way Tracy! I’m right behind you. : )

Hi Tracy! Today was my first day of “Hunting Widowhood”. My fiance is venturing up to Escanaba, MI (way up there!) through Thanksgiving. Thank God I had your radio show to ease me into this transition! I was giggling to myself while listening to you and Sarah talk about all of your luscious Thanksgiving rituals, traditions and ideas. If you only knew how I now spend my Thanksgivings! ;-0 This is the second year of this “new tradition” for me since I met the love of my life at 49. We spend it up in Escanaba in our “hunting camp”. There is only gas for heat and light (the refrigerator and stove are both gas too) There are deer heads EVERYWHERE. And I mean everywhere! No running water, no electricity. The outhouse is quite the pick me up in the winter (very chilly seat), and at night when all lights go out, you fall asleep to the lullaby of little mice scurrying around up and down the studs behind the walls. In spite of all of this, Dennis and I prepare a traditional gourmet Thanksgving meal for 12-20 people. And I do wear my Tracy Porter outfits. I can’t travel anywhere without you! So this year dear Tracy–I will think of you and Sarah and all of your lovely Thanksgiving embellishments. (Whenever you use your powder room–think of me as I will be trotting outside with my flashlight going to “the ladies room” with goosebumps). I do think I will also bring my Cointreau to add to our cranberry sauce. Hugs and Dirty Martini’s to you! Oh, and it would be so wonderful if you picked me!….I have so many things circled in your catalog! xo Happy Thanksgiving! xo….Nancy

Hi Tracy!
Love the holiday chatter! Happy Veteran’s Day to all the vets and their families! I wore my paisley velvet pants and plum tunic to Disney World tonight and I received so many compliments and “ohh, where did you get those pants?” while I was waiting for the special retreat ceremony in the Magic Kingdom. I LOVE these paisley pants! They are so GROOVY;o) Thanks Tracy for helping me to find a clothing style I can wear as a 40ish yr old. It’s so hard being military and wearing basically the same clothes (blue or green) every single day for 20+ years and maintain any fashion sense at all. You wouldn’t believe some of the stuff people come up with when they are stationed overseas and are able to have clothes custom made. I think that is where I first saw a man wear a custom made bright yellow suit with shorts instead of pants. Thanks Tracy for getting me out of my cut off sweat pants and t-shirts!!

Hello Tracy and Sarah, Loved all the Turkey Talk!! Sarah, your idea for a kids bar is precious. Several years ago I gave my youngest son an island theme party, part of the party was a tiki bar (virgin drinks of course) and it was such a hit.
