Soulful Music For The Holiday’s
I always love a new holiday CD. A darling friend of mine knows this and just gave me a true gem. (thank you, kiss, kiss!!) If On A Winter’s Night…. created by STING. It has a gorgeous spiritual…. almost haunting feeling to it. Warms me to my core and even better when sipping a hot toddie! Anyone that names a song SOUL CAKE rocks in my world anyway. You’ll love the range of deliciousness top to bottom. Naturally what happens to me is I nearly bake these sort of cd’s to death….but then, I do love music that moves me..and this one my loves…..surely does!
Cheers!
Xo,
T.

Good morning! I’m looking forward to the radio show today. Tracy, thanks for the info about the Sting CD. My hubby and I love music and are always looking for the goodies. I’m curious, what is everyone listening to? What are your favorites? I personally, can’t get enough of Colbie Callait, her sound is so cheerful and uplifting. I’ve also been listening to the new Norah Jones, The Fall…a little different from her other music, but good.
WENDY…check out Diana Krall’s latest release, “Quiet Nights”….some of her best work yet…while not new, her holiday CD, “Christmas Songs,” is very good and most festive…thanks for the tips on Colbie Callait and the new Norah Jones….cheers!!…warmly, Kat
Hi Everyone…two of my very favorites is A Midwinter’s Dream and To Drive the Cold Winter Away by Loreena McKennitt. Looking forward to the radio podcast later today. We’ve tried everything, but for some reason I cannot get the the show live and it makes me CRAZY!
Times a ticking…..almost radio show time….I am soooo excited!!!! Tracy, thanks for introducing Sting’s xmas CD. I love “All this time too, it’s a regular in our CD player. Love those young kids……and you too Tracy!!! Happy Day….Margie
Thanks Kat and Cynthie! I’ll be sure to check out those CD’s. Well, I’ll have my hubby do it, since he’s the ipod/itunes master. Me, I’m not so tech saavy. I’m sure it’s so simple, but he does it for me, so I let him! Ladies, keep the music suggestions coming!

Tracy – my daughter was telling me about Sting’s CD and how good it was…I love “Christmas with the Rat Pack” and Harry Connick Jr.’s Christmas CDs. Last year I got Carly Simon’s Christmas CD and James Taylor’s…both very good!
Opera-singing-Tracy..you may want to check out Andre Bocelli’s new My Christmas cd. http://www.amazon.com/My-Christmas-Andrea-Bocelli/dp/B002L430KK/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=music&qid=1259851051&sr=8-1
Hey Tracy! I just listened to your radio program today! I usually listen while my daughter is napping and while I tidy up the house. It makes me feel more creative and productive as I’m buzzing around to hear you in the background talking about “jollification”!! Love it!! Anyway, as I listened I enjoyed my favorite holiday tea called Comfort and Joy by The Republic of Tea. I highly recommend it with honey, cream and a squeeze of fresh orange! I just bought the Sting cd today and look forward to hearing it! My all-time favorite holiday cd is “December” by George Winston. It’s beautiful! Have a wonderful holiday time and thank you for sending out so much lovliness into the world! xxoo Jeri
I loved your show it was divine. Great highs and lows advise to carry us through the holidays.
hugs,
Another great show, Tracy! We had just been watching Sting’s DVD, “The Journey & The Labyrinth: The Music of John Dowland” (also on CD) which is a very fun watch and yet we had no idea he had this new wintry CD. Thank you for letting us know. Lovely! I also like Jackson 5 for holiday music and oddly some of my favorite compilations have come from the chain stores that put them together then mark them down in January, like Pottery Barn & Restoration Hardware. I wish Simon & Garfunkel would do a holiday CD. Their folksy harmonies are timeless. See you all next week!
