Tracy Porter Video: In recognition of all magpies – a jewelry drawer reorganization
Do tell me it has happened to you too? You know, your jewelry drawer starts to look more like the junk drawer from your mudroom (now I am just praying you all have junk drawers?). I know you know I am the queen magpie, a stasher of sorts, a squirrel, a pack rat… yes… all that. If it is shiny or feathery or stringy or glittery or… quite frankly any texture at all… I keep it. Sick… but true. My jewelry drawer is made up of stuff I have had since I started shopping vintage in my teens. Then we designed our own jewelry, so that’s now layered in. I don’t own anything of much monetary value as jewelry goes, more pull at your heart strings sort of stuff. I know I have shared with you that I have always told John from day one… No jewelry gifts for me… Trees, yes… Boxwoods, indeed… More animals, surely. No fancy jewelry. Maybe at some point in my life that tune’ll change…… who knows. For now I like my mish~mash of fun stuff!
Well now that we’ve shared all that… and you know my jewelry drawer was all a-shambles and in need of some serious TLC… I’ll be on with it. I had this thought about how pretty it all is, and then it’s all tangled up in that sorry drawer, really… shame on me. I am always wanting to pull the “pretty”out of the drawers… so I did. Check out the fun twist in our video… Mine is an armoire in our bedroom, now all decked out with found objects from our home… Where will you put yours?
A few thoughts to consider…
* Small statues or sculptures are great for necklaces… Have anything from your garden that you could use?
* Bracelets are spectacular in a big silver bowl.
* Teacups or other small pantry dishes are ideal for rings, brooches and the like.
* Lamps… always try to squeeze a small lamp into your vignette.
* Be inspired by a fanciful, extraordinary woman… I keep thinking, what would Coco do?
Kisses,
T.

TRACY, I could spend hours going through your jewelry!!! I would feel like a little girl again playing dress up. Funny how you asked if we knew what magpie is. It’s one of my favorite words because it describes me too!!
I’m sure I have missed all kinds of chatter. I’ve had family in town for the last week, and more to arrive later this week for the holiday weekend. So, I know I am out of the loop!! I’ll try to play catch up.
PAM, are you getting any sleep? Loved your pictures on the community. You all look very happy.
Happy Summer to you all!
Tracy,
Where do you get those glass paperweights? I love this idea.
Hello everyone!! I had to check in and say hi and thank you to you all for the beautiful comments here on the blog and also on the community pictures that REBECCA posted for us! I can’t be long as the babe is calling!! I’m loving life right now in my sleep deprived state!! He is an absolute joy….I recieved a gorgeous package today from our very own SANDI….SANDI…THANK YOU!! My precious handpainted “CALM” stone is sitting right by my bedside…I looked at it at about 4:00 A.M this morning during a nursing marathon! What a treat to recieve that in the mail!! Thank you so much!!! I must run….I hope you all are enjoying summer…xoxo to all the DURLS!!!
TRACY, I love this video. I revamped my jewelry last time, but I think it is time to go through it again!
We MISS YOU and SARAH! Do you have any fun July 4th ideas to share with us this week?

Forgot to ask this in my last comment…….
YVETTE, you mentioned a couple of weeks ago you were going to post pictures of some of your TP fashions? I also remember you mentioning Colorado??? Am I crazy or did you? If so, where in Colorado are you? You can also e-mail me at fourhendersons1@comcast.net
I desperately need to organize my jewelry drawers. I would love to use little teacups for storage; but, obviously, that would be impractical!
TRACY, this is one of my favorite inspirational vidoes. I used many of these ideas in my jewelry “cabinet” especially decorating it with frames and a small mirror. Also, just went through all your rug pics and I am thinking your next product needs to be Wallpaper! Or Wrapping paper!! Please! Also, love the Patina Linen jacket and Flirty skirt! Thanks for all you do. PAM – I remember those days and nights. Keep up your strength! Your little guy is so beautiful! SANDI, where do we get stones?
Good Morning Beautiful, Loving Spirits~
We actually had some sunshine yesterday!
Today clouds with some sun peeking through occasionally…Predictions of rain and more thunderstorms for the rest of the week….So many weeks of rain…sometimes it makes a girl weary…
Oh well… “This too shall pass”.
PAM~ Sweetheart, I am so glad that my little package cheered you, and that your “calm” sea stone lightens your heart. I smile when I read your words of how precious little Griffin is…and how you are loving this very special time…
KIM in CA~ The Serenity Sea Stones are the ones shown in the Community photos under Crafts and Projects. If you are interested in them, you may email me at BluebirdCottage@aol.com
TRACY~ Hope you are enjoying every wonderful moment of time by the pond with John and your 4 cowboys and all those little ducklings…and that your hand is healing more with each passing day…
Off to work on all the JULY birthdays for John’s office staff…
with love and a smile, ~*~*~*~Sandi

SHAWN You are the lucky winner of my Blog’s Giveway, I will e-mail you soon.
I Interviewed TRACY last week, I wanted to post it on my Blog this week but I noticed that a lot of people are on vacation, away from their computer, so as a second thought I will post the Interview when I resume my blog and Cooking activities in August. Stay tuned!I am taking July off: no more Computer, no more Twitter, Facebook, Blog, just some time with my kids, their friends going to the Beach, spending time in our garden and near our swimming pool, no watch, no schedule. See you in August with this amazing TP interview. You are so wonderful Tracy!
Whishing you all happy and safe Summer!

oh.. I posted another photo of the Tranquility Shirt again… this time with a ‘Dressier look’….~*~*~*~Love, Sandi
TRACY, so good to hear of your summer family fun! Good for you! Nothing much new around Chatelaine Ranch….we’ve had gorgeous summer days in the low ’80’s, then the typical Colorado thunderstorms in the late afternoons that usually leave a rainbow or two, and a gorgeous sunset. The toads and frogs are out in full chorus from morning until night. The pond is filling up and I even saw a lone duck when walking the property the other day! Will and Romska got baths today and are shiny happy ponies. Baby “Sunni”, as I call her, is getting tall, still all legs…. and loves her
neck and belly rubbed. She knows her name and
gives me a little whinny in response when I call to her. Andrew and his buddy have been mowing and weed whacking all over the place…
MARY ANN, they need to borrow your machete…
it is THICK in some areas! The rain has brought green lush grass, but weeds too! I’ve
painted all the deck furniture and we’re enjoying dinners al fresco almost every night.
TRACY, I made a version of your tabbouleh the other night along with grilled Kafta, from a fabulous Lebanese cookbook I just bought. There are a lot of easy and HEALTHY recipes in it. I even made my own Laban, (yogurt). It’s
delicious, had it for breakfast this a.m. with cantaloupe, walnuts and honey. YUM! DESIREE,
I never did say so long, so hope you will see this and fill us in on your summer happenings!
PAM, kiss baby Griffin for me…sweet love that he is…hope all the kids are having a fun
summer and you’re getting some rest. GIRLS, I bought the Filigree Cocktail glasses and they
are truly gorgeous, and perfect for everything
from Manhattans to Margaritas. The color and design are just beautiful, and really make a
perfect summer table setting! Happy Fourth of July to all!
Have a wonderful and safe holiday!! xoxoxo
Hello sweet friends,
Busy, busy week for everyone. I think all of you are celebrating the 4th before the weekend.
GRETCHEN…do not even say you are not having fun…Genny is home and you are loving it!!!
PAM…kisses to the baby!
SANDI…lots of evening showers here too but I am loving them. Sunny days and afternoon showers… What could be better? I loved your new picture in the Tranquility shirt….but,no surprise, you look great in everything. Happy Birthday wishes to John. Did you guys do something wonderful on his big day?
MAISE, cannot wait to see pictures of your vacation.
I have spent the last few days painting. Someone else will be gifted soon.
TRACY, enjoy your family…not so sure about the skinny dipping.ha! I do prefer a suit. wink wink!
CELINE, I look forward to your Tracy interview.
CAMEO…here’s a shout out to you girl…enjoying Green Acres…I see you in your caftan giving orders to dear hubby and sweet Demi. Nothing like farm life…right?
Before I close…click Gretchen’s name…her sassy dolls are now on Etsy. Take a peek. I am in love with Santa in pj’s.
Hope all you fire crackers are well and happy!
kisses!
POURING Rain with HEAVY thunder…. again… and Clancy is not doing well with all of it…I brought him down to the basement though… and with the sound of the de-humidifier acting like ‘white noise’ it helped alot…
then we went to one of our favorite restaurants for dinner and had a lovely time.
now we are back upstairs and the thunder seems to be subsiding…
ARTIST~ Good to hear from you dear lady! Love it when you are happy painting. John decided he wanted to ‘clean up the garage’ on his birthday… go figure! but he seemed quite happy while doing it.. and then with the results (truthfully it does not look much different to me…but if it does to him, I’m happy!)
KELLY~ SOOOO good to hear from you too! Your summer days sound wonderful there… sunny days and storms in the afternoon bringing rainbows… doesn’t get much sweeter than that! And.. I love that the little ‘Baby Sunni” knows her name and whinnies! Precious.
love to all~*~*~*~Sandi

Hello DURLS…it’s moi – been out of the loop lately. MARY ANN: yes, dear…good hair IS important; but goodness…in this Texas heat, it’s a miracle if one looks decent. It’s a scorcher! I hope each of you is reveling in the lazy, hazy days of summer. TTFN.
