Tracy Porter Video: My passion for flowers

Extraordinary from ordinary… it’s just my thing, I guess… You know me… always looking for yet another outlet to mess around and be creative. Flowers. Glorious flowers… Such an indulgence… so simple… so simply divine. Allow a beautiful sprig of posies to be transformed into wonderfulness… No magic wand required…

A few tips to lusciousness…

* perfume bottles
* teacups… I do love them so…
* a box, a basket, a bowl, or urn
* secret ingredient: Spanish moss darlings, Spanish moss…
* a spot of water…
* …and a heart filled with beauty

Kisses,

T.

OK, have to share…..while I am watching this video I am hearing some funky cartoon music in the background. Very upbeat and very kid-like. I am thinking….wow, TRACY is really changing things today! Then it dawns on me to pause TP and the music STILL plays on……..oh, my 6 year old left his Cartoon Network game on at the same time and it is playing a lovely tune while TP talks! So funny to me! Rock on Tracy! Of course I buy flowers from the grocery store, they do a great job!

Well, it’s the umpteenth rainy day here in Boston, but you know what? I don’t care, because…
I just saw the cutest baby photo ever, and an equally darling photo of PAM’S sweet family! Her wonderful husband emailed them and I flew over here to post them – they should be up soon.
Visit the community page to see them – oh, he is a beautiful baby and they all look SO happy!
Her husband writes, “Sorry for the delay, but we have all been quite consumed with welcoming our beautiful baby Griffin into his new home.”
I would be too!
Welcome, Griffin, from your Aunties here at Tracy’s blog! And well done, PAM! Talk about having the world in your arms!

Once again I am BLOWN AWAY by the beautiful comments from ALL of you!! You have all been such a part of this little guys birth!! I am home and resting and baby Finn is just a LOVE!! STEVE sent pictures to REBECCA this morning to post on the community….he also apologizes that he didn’t get a chance to blog. It was a busy weekend with family/friends and sports still! Little GRIFFIN’s arrival was MUCH more difficult than I had expected…all 3 of my other kids were born drug free and within a few hours…very easy! I figured this guy would do the same, so once again opted for no drugs and he was born “sunny side up”….VERY painful! But, of course I’d do it all again!! I’m looking forward to snuggling in bed all week with the babe especially since our weather here is cool and rain, rain, rain! So, let me tell you all again what it has meant to our family that you all have sent your love to us!! I treasure my time here on the TRACY blog with the sisterhood!! Little Finn is lucky to have you all for Aunties!! xoxo love and much thanks to you all!!!

PAM J has a full size stuffed bear in her house……..Don’t worry love,.. he is a family member…..doesn’t he have a name????? Then he will go with any decor you choose………No worries, just do your thing and decorate around him……..I think I…me…CAMEO,,….. would place an occasional table near one of his arms/ paws…. and place a silver tray on it with some martini glasses, a shaker,……… and a candle stick,…….that would add such a bit of class to that old bear!!!!!!!!……..
PAM love, thank you for the photos!!!!!!!…. so HAPPY for you……..and STEVE….
KIM in CA,… I am digging that LaROO……….he’s got some attitude, i bet!!!!!
KELLY love,…..what’s happening with the Farm…..how are those Turkeys???????…Have you named one ARTIST????…… You should,……she is a turkey indeed!!!!!!….. I think every living creature deserves a name…….even stuffed ones……….. I don’t know,….it’s just my way of thinking……
REBECCA,……Durl,…… I have indeed attacked the TP tabletop section…..just got the Verdi and Bella Luna Goblets today,……don’t look for them,….they flew…. and the Artisan plates….they are in the dishwasher right now…….and Oh my I just could not pass by the Pagoda tray……those shades of blue just rock my world…….ARTIST love,……would that Pagoda tray work with the new color you just painted your kitchen????
CLAUDINE,……I hope that handsome little JACK and the hairy dog are having a GRAND summer…….with only one child,…it is amazing how much they love their animals…….DEMI begged me to allow her to sleep with the dogs a few nights ago……..I hated to say no,…so I made her get out her camping gear and spread out with them on the floor………Let’s just say,…..she had a “THREE DOG NIGHT”…………they ALL slept until 8am the next morning……..can you believe?????
Well Sailing camp is over….for now,…. and Yes, CATIE, and PAM I do agree that sailing is wonderful,……and takes you away…..She will go back again in July……
The heat here is killing me……….already humid as a hot house here……..I can’t figure why the HAY I can’t grow Orchids in this humidity……..I am keeping my hair all tucked in a broad brim hat….. I look like COCO baby………most people in these parts don’t even know who she is…….and why am i living here????????…….What else is happening with everyone……missing you Durls……..ALL soulsisters…..stay safe this summer,….and don’t forget your sunscreen,……we ALL have to stay Gorgeous!!!!! Love you,….be back in a few, ….. to catch up!!!!!!

OK, PAM – you are officially SUPERWOMAN! It’s so good to see you here, and I know you are being wise about resting, so I won’t even say “go take a nap!” ;-)
GRIFFIN is so handsome and sweet – you must be in love! Everyone in your family looks euphoric and the way they’re all arrayed around you, with Will holding baby Griffin…sigh…
I’m sorry to hear the birth was painful for you – it can be so intense – but you’re doing the right thing to get in bed and snuggle him during this gray weather we’re having – it’s perfect for that!
So, wishing you lots of tender care from your dear husband and children – I have no doubt that’s what you will receive! We are here for you when you choose to chime in, and also when you just don’t have the energy – we’ll keep things going and keep you in the loop!

CELINE – I saw your post from yesterday – congratulations on your blogiversary (is that a word?)! Two years – good for you! I’m going over there right now to leave a comment – http://www.celinescuisine.com!
KIM in CA – what a funny story! My kids use my computer sometimes too, and I have a tendency to have quite a few tabs open at once. Every now and then they accidentally close out of Firefox and all my tabs go away! Sometimes I’m able to restore them the next time, but sometimes they’re just gonzo! I’ve learned to bookmark…
CAFE FASHIONISTA – I just left a comment on your blog – my daughter has received the bouquet you featured as a birthday gift – it’s adorable!
TRACY – hope the pond and the margaritas fit the bill in the balmy weather – have one for me; it’s raining buckets here (cold ones!).
CAMEO – I knew it! Now you can post some pictures of your new finds in lovely places – how about another photo shoot??
GRETCHEN – What fun to hang out with NICKI and her family!
DAWN – first of all, Plum Blossom is just so scrumptious in her new purple glasses! Grace got glasses at that age too – and they were purple too! What a great photo! And I’m so glad you’re loving your new bags, and happy you grabbed a Maritime tote before they went away!
SANDI – Are you flooded out down there on the Cape?
The men in the family (hubby and Luke) are off to Warrior camp tomorrow, which means I get to do girls’ week with Grace and Anna. Lucky me!

PAM DARLING, how does one look so good right after giving birth? You are amazing Love! Baby FIN is an angel and he fits right in to your heavenly abode….I see lots of angels live there already. Kisses to all of you!
DAWN LOVE, I wish I could join you on the new pavers for that lemonade. We could be so entertained by PLUM BLOSSOM!!! A pair of glasses never looked so good…that girl can work it!
KELLY DEAR, I would be so honored to have a turkey named after me as Cameo mentioned…just don’t make him dinner!!!!
Summer is really here in the south. My gardenias are so beautiful and smell like heaven. I spent all day Saturday serving cold drinks to Mr. Perry as he worked in the yard. Hubby was playing golf with our son who won the tournament!!!! Way to go ANDY!!!
CAMEO DARLING, I am so glad DEMI is learning to sail and has enjoyed it so. That child is smarter than YOU!!!! I cannot wait to lunch with her. I did love your bear suggestions if he is standing on his hind legs. PAM J, you must show us!!!
I am busy painting again. Someone will be gifted on Wednesday. It’s so much fun sharing with you all.
SANDI…where are you today?

Good Morning!
TRACY, I got my catalogue on Saturday!! Your introductory words sang to my heart – as Anne Marie stated, it was a poem! Lovely writing!
And the photos of your children and Grandma Lucy were twinkling like summer fireflies. Thank you and your team for all the creativity that went into your catalogue – every page is full of artistry, color, pattern, nostalgia, and summery delights!
Dripping humidity and hot sun here this week in Minnesota – I am loving it! I wait all year for a day like this. Out on the deck journaling and reading early this morning – smelling my pink “Wonder” rose bush on the deck – puttering with the pots of flowers – morning coffee and toast amidst birdsong and view of the calm, blue lake. The simple pleasures of sum, sum, summertime are dreamy!
May all of you darlings enjoy your day!

GOOD MORNING GIRL’S,
How about that beautiful baby boy! I could just eat him up. I would probably never put him down! PAM, I hope you are resting…

I wanted to let you know that I posted pictures of one of our other Pam’s…I saw PAMELA last weekend and I am sharing that with you. PAMELA, calms my heart and soul.
Visit the community to see how special she is!

The other girl that calms my soul, but makes my heart PITTER-PATTER would be that TRACY GIRL! THE CATALOG, AMAZING! It was so much fun to sit outside and have some ‘me time’ and look through it. The pictures are so great! THE SALE items are quickly finding their way to my closet….Even if they DON”T FIT ME YET! It is my motivation. :)

It is finally really heating up here in MN. This is when it kills me…I want, I need to be on the water so bad!!!!
The family boat is in WISC. Maybe next year for a MN boat!
CHEERS, GIRL’s…to a GREAT TUESDAY for US ALL!

Ahhh, WOMEN! I’m working on a sewing project with a deadline of…TODAY (aaack!)…and I was thinking of you. Thought I’d take a break, stretch my back, and let you all know how encouraging it is to witness women loving, encouraging, and accepting each other in all our likenesses and differences. I have preferred the company of men all my life because, for better or worse, what you see is what you get. But I’m so encouraged to see something DIFFERENT in you women than what I’ve experienced all my life. Inspiring! Cheers and Blessings to ALL!

Just ordered three more things from the CLEARANCE… with the “Secret Sale” discount!!! (an additional 40%??!!) WOW!
(thank you TRACY!) :)
I am wearing the soft and feminine Tranquilty blouse today…just LOVE it!!!!Wore the pretty Poet blouse on Sunday…feels so light and airy you feel like you are wearing nothing at all… which is lovely on a warm day…Oh.. and the melliflous ruffled tank is SOOO pretty… and more ’substantial’ than I thought in the photo, with a lining in the front so wearing it without a bra on a hot summer day (I am SURE we will have some of those soon enough here on Cape Cod!!)and the vintage pin on the front is SOOO pretty!
PAM~ How are you and little Griffin today?… Lots and Lots of RAIN again today… I think that in the past 30 days, we have had only 6 days of sunshine….(I’m off to work on the ARK!)….then some sea stones for a few customers.. (including some of my TP Sisters.)
big hug… much love..
REBECCA… lots of rain for you too??My goodness… day after day after day…. and no sunshine in the predictions for many days to come…I am going to think ONLY “Sunny Thoughts”!!

Hello Ladies -
I thought I’d throw this out there…
I got the Urban Jacket and it is SO cool and it fits well in the shoulders BUT is too big everywhere else — well especially in the, um, chest-ish area:) Well, I am sending it back to TP for credit but I thought, because it is a SUPER RARE size Extra Large(!), that I should give any of you who are, um, more endowed in the chest-ish area:)a chance to speak up for it first. We could figure something out or maybe the lovely people in Customer Service could hold it for you…I don’t know…I know I was really lucky to come upon it….
I hope I’m not out of line with this:)

Feeling especially grateful today…
May you each be greeted by blessings of abundance in whatever form they would mean the most to you (hot, sweaty weather; rainy, grey weather; 11 new ducklings; one scrumptious new baby; a vacation with family; the right-sized Urban Jacket….) :-)
And I would like to be the first to congratulate you, TRACY, on the new jewelry – it is beautiful in every way! Each piece is exquisite. Also, the way in which the pieces complement those in your other collections is like a symphony of delights. Proving that you truly are the Goddess of All Things Beautiful!

ARTIST, tell Andy congratulations for the golf tournament – that is SUPER!! I love that you have a gardenia plant – I go right back in time when I smell that fragrance!
MARY ANN, Happy Dreamy Travels! Your brother has your same gift for words and humor. Oh, the times and conversations you two must have together! Have fun, darling!
SANDI and PAM, You are our sunshine, our lovely sunshine, you make us happy when skies are gray, you’ll never know dears, how much we love you, may the sun shine bright on your day!
DEANNA, with the teacups and roses. Just want to say Hi! Your name is pretty.

REBECCA~ Thank you also… for posting the beautiful ‘Goddess inspired photo’ of you wearing the EMPRESS TOP… It got me to push the BUY button and it arrived two days ago… I tried it on last night and ‘played around’ with the many different looks it can give.. with the pretty sash silk belt tied as a ’scarf’ intertwined within in the neck.. hanging down… with a pretty pin in the middle…hhmmmm… if anyone want to see a photo of just ONE of the looks.. let me know and I will try it back on and get out my camera… :)

Sandi Darling, I loved viewing the sculpture of the mother duck and her little ones. Thank you for bringing back such joyful memories. When I was very young my sister and I had a pet duck named PAUL! Of course, after the Beatle with shaggy hair. We adored him and because of that, finally gave him up to a nearby pond. Ducks have always been dear to my heart since loving Paul. The sculpture put a smile on my face!!
Tracy, I did receive my new catalog…very artistially done. Thank you! I am still thinking about those antlers. Since Gretchen has gifted me with the grand kahuna of antlers I am afraid it might be too much. Any opinions are welcome.
Pam Sweetie, I hope you are cherishing every minute with Griffin. Kiss his sweet head for me. I also hope you can get some rest. Is that possible for a mother of four!!!?
Kelly G, I am so glad you got the jacket. That is the very way I obtained the Vintage Coat.What wonderful sisters we all are!
Cameo Darling, sell that condo and come out to play!!! All this work is making you a very dull bird!!
xoxo

Happy Thursday! I’m finally catching up on videos, and TRACY, I love this one! I love to arrange flowers, it’s one of my great loves, it just makes my heart happy! Speaking of flowers, ARTIST, your gardenias sound absolutely divine! I love them so much, I had to have them in my wedding bouquet, but it was one of my biggest splurges because we were married on Christmas Eve, and that’s not exactly prime season for gardenias!LOL! Congratulations to Andy!!!!! PAM, kiss that precious little Fin for me, he’s completely scrumptous! I know he has a wonderful bunch of groupies in his brothers and sister! KELLYG, the TracyP inspired quilt pattern looks GORGEOUS!!!! I can’t wait to see it! DAWN your Plum Blossom is just entirely too sweet! She probably looked fabulous in every pair of glasses she tried on! Friends of ours moved to China to help Chinese orphans, and here’s the link to an interview they did they inspire me!
http://www.savinglevi.com/pages/radio-focus-on-the-family-interview/ REBECCA, I loved your thoughts on gratitude, I needed to be reminded of that today, you and SANDI are always sooooo very encouraging!!!! CAMEO, I’m totally with you on the hot and humid thing. It’s going to be in the 90s here in Maryland today, and it’s humid and sticky, and yucky. I think I liked the weather best when we lived in Scotland, yes it rained alot, but it never got hot! I think I’m the only person on the planet that doesn’t like the heat??? Oh well, I love the gorgeous flowers in my garden and I’m grateful for the yummy fresh blueberries and melons so in abundance right now! MARYANN, I love to read what you write, you make me smile! I think I’ve blethered on long enough, I’m sure I’ve missed someone I wanted to shout out to, but I’m so grateful for all of you! Blessings……

After watching your awesome tips on flowers, I dug a tea cup and saucer out of my cabinet, and instead of tossing the blooms that I wacked back on the petunias, I stuck them all in the cup. Simply beautiful! Thanks for the inspiration!
