Vintage Fashion

It’s  endless you know, I always tell you inspiration is everywhere…and indeed it is in everything we do. Anytime we create a new collection a layer of vintage inspiration ….(gasp-inducing loveliness) is there for the taking. It drives romance to a new place….vintage inspiration is modern, soulful….and irresistible . I for one…cannot help myself…..never could really. Even when I was a kid digging through my grandmothers old laces and trims to find just the right thing to sew onto a t-shirt……the sweetness, the elegance …the pure earthiness of age is enough inspiration for us to create collection after collection of goodness! Fragments of happiness combined with other remembrances make for the perfect mix of high and low….feel good, wear it forever sort of goodness.  Thanks for loving what we do…it is far too much fun for us….and knowing you like it too…well…that my loves…is the cherry on top!!!

Cheers and Kisses!

Tracy…..Hello and how are you this fine day???? Was able to listen to about 15 minutes of radio show…..this AM…..you tell a good story My Dear Lady…..now understand NO children at home for many years….My Garage is my territory and my husband and I will actually have words…when he has two huge shops and will try to slip something into my garage….thats a NO NO….he will always say its just for a day or two…..I vacumn my garage in the winter……..lololo…..just me…..we spray for bugs all year round and I dont like dead bugs laying there…..also about paint….I have named our house Amaranth Casa….and I am painting our front door this year a soft turquoise…because… The preference comes from an old belief of man, that the sky-blue shade had the power to keep Evil away. The radiation of the color composed an invisible shield, which prevented the approach of bad spirits…living out west for many many years…many painted there front door turquoise….many of them a different shade….I dont want to go to bold but I will know the color when I see it…..its just an old myth……no evil spirts will pass my way….lololo…

Its toooo bad I am not in the market right now for furniture…..it is awesome…..I love painted furniture……..OWOWOWOWOWOWOW is all I can say…..

Its Thursday, raining and I AM taking in the smell………..you are so right…..XOXOXOXO

Just listened to radio show this morning…thanks for the Oil of Olay tip- no blue veins for me but does anyone have any advice for redness in skin? As I am getting older (46 now) my “champagne” colored hair is turning to “ash”….so yesterday I had my stylist dye it all AUBURN!!! I feel like a different woman!!! How fun!! My kids love it and my man thinks its “HOT”!!
I love to paint and paint and paint! My husband has informed me that the square footage has dramatically changed in our home due to the many layers of paint I have put on the walls….I also love to rearrange furniture and he has asked that I please leave lights on in our home for him if he is to come in after dark and I have flipped the house around -so as not to trip over anything….ok, will do I say!
Robins are busy flirting and nesting here in Ohio and my Koi have all awaken from their long winters nap……
Happy day beauties!

T,…..yes,… “vintage” is the word, and I adore it!….. A rainy London day here today……… Out the door to visit my Mother for a couple of days……… should have a TP package waiting for me when I return………”Ode to Joy” and “Margurite”……..will be here to brighten my day………
BETH, I know,….I love the weight of TPs dinner plates too….and some designs have the painted rim underneath……such a pleasant kiss.
LOLO,…….I like “Reflecting Pool” by Sherwin Williams. It’s the turquoise for me.
Have a GRAND day loves!

I love this duster, its definitely my favorite piece right now, I just love the color and the length!! I was so excited because that is something I really pay attention to in your videos now. I am 5′3 and I got the eclipse duster, which I LOVED but it looks quite different on me, minus the 7 inches!! I think that is a perfectly flattering length. Very excited. How do you think the gauzey fabric wears?? is it something that you just wear on occasion because its so delicate or ??? I would be curious to know, it so beautiful. I just get paranoid about things getting holes in them so quickly, so many things fall apart after a couple wears these days…
Loved listening to your radio show yesterday! I listened to the previous one too, as I missed the live airing. Tracy, you DO inspire me. Thank you. Even on the simplest things….to get out and get moving. I have been struggling with depression lately and I was listening to you talk about that and I thought, yes, I CAN do it. Sometimes you just need the encouragement you know??, someone to tell you to get out butt out the door : ) So I put the baby in the stroller, got the dog, and we all went for a beautiful spring walk. it was good. it was hard. but I did it. Thanks for the encouragement. Does it ever strike you as bizarre that we all know you and consider you OUR friend, but you don’t even know us? haha, I was thinking that. You are a friend in a far off, imaginary way! haha. : ) cheers!

Tracy, YeeHaw back at ya! I loved the radio show yesterday, as I do every Wednesday. I love, love, love to teeter around flea markets…I just love filling my nest with all things unique and inspiring. Once I found this old chicken coop at a flea market…instantly I thought STORAGE! I brought it home; spray painted it red and hung it on my son’s wall…instant funky toy box! It is so great because he will hang all sorts of treasures using magnets and string. You and Robin are so vintage cowgirl in today’s video, only thing missing is a horse in the background gnashing on some carrots….Ha, Ha.
SaraKristi, I am sending some sunshine your way…can you see it yet? I too think getting outside helps in lifting one out of the dumps. I will also take some extra vitamin D…it is like an instant shot of espresso to me. I hope you have a great day!
Cameo, I too love the river walk at night. Happy traveling this weekend…I can just picture you in your door less truck, zooming down the highway, scarf flapping in the wind…Ride Sally Ride!

Oh Cameo, you’re going to the Riverwalk this weekend? You need to go into Austin. SXSW starts this weekend!
It’s this phenomenal music & film fest that lasts a week here. One night during it one year I was standing in line behind Brian Setzer for pizza when Paul Simon walked by which was after Iggy Pop gave a free concert in the parking of Waterloo records.
If you look music you should go, though I will say it seems to me these days, whatever bands we go to see, we’re either the youngest or the oldest people there. Why is that when you’re forties?

I, too, love this duster – it is so eathereal-looking!!! Robyn always looks so placid and zen-like in these videos – I feel my pulse slow just watching!

Maureen in Austin – what a great story! We almost went to Austin this March Break – what is the temperature this time of year?

Hello All! Really enjoyed the radio show yesterday Tracy. The Outrageous Coconut Cream-Meringue Cake is on my list to make. Fridays are “FRIDAY-PIE-DAY” here, where I bake while the kiddos clean my house. I call it, “GET MY HOUSE CLEANED PIE”, for anyone who does their jobs without whining, grumbling or complaining. I’m hoping they won’t mind a cake this week!
TINA P… MIRACELL is what I use for redness. It is meant for itchy ears but I use it for the eczema on my face. It also works scars.
STACIE… So happy for you! Shoes, SCARF and the RENDEZVOUS. Happiness on your hip indeed!

Laura the pie idea is genius!
I’m going to try that one out on my darlings
I’ve always loved vintage clothes and SHOES as well. The old Cuban heel lace up Granny shoe is one I still go to since high school when my friends and I would put together outrageous outfits back when it was inexpensive…. I’m fighting a cold but I’m staying positive and drinking lots of tea and lemon- have a wonderful day everyone!

Oh my goodness, Valery, I painted my front door pink one time and everyone gave me such a hard time about it, but it was beautiful, I don’t care what they say. I love turquise, and I’m sure it will be gorgeous. SarahKristy, I feel the same way about my friend Tracy, as my son calls her. Are you checking in on your friend Tracy? Like a really cool pen pal.
Tracy, I really love all the new things, you guys are so amazing.
