Love, love, love...

What will you do... what will you give... on Valentine's Day?

Something to covet? Or... breakfast for dinner (maybe in bed?)... A picnic, somewhere unexpected... a romantic movie... a sexy new CD (or iPod update)? A tree to be planted in spring, a weekend to sleep in, a fancy cocktail ring, a new crisp stack of magazines? A huge pot of fresh lavender... a night out... or in?? A hot towel after showering... a puppy... silk lingerie... be more accepting... a surprise plane ticket... a vintage book... a long love note? Get the car detailed... a promise for later... a new diary... be a good listener... shower them with kisses... a framed photo of you together... lockets filled with photos... watch childhood movies... some freshly baked cookies? Candles lit in the bedroom... make a fantasy list and start crossing them off... personalized stationery... a new pair of heels? Or maybe just simply "BE"... be together and do nothing at all! (Well... that, and maybe a cocktail together...) Happy Valentine's Day! xoxoxo

Hi its Julie some of you may have spoke with me on the phones. I work in the studio here at Tracy Porter. Valentines Day is one of my favorite holidays when you can make people feel extra special. Here are some of my ideas: cute valentines bag tons of colorful tissue paper and fill it with lots of Hershey's Kisses...add a heart shaped card saying your sending them lots of kisses. I'm also known for my hidden love notes. I write a short little love note and hide for them to find unexpectedly. (in a lunch box, a wallet, or jacket pocket) My 5yr old has caught on and I find her love notes tucked in my pocket or drawer. Doesn't it just make your heart melt. One of my absolute favorites is the "Coupon book of Love". My little ones love to help with this one. Make a small booklet and make a coupon up on each page good for something ex: good for a hug, back scratch, washing the dishes, family video nite. Don't forget on the back to put "made with love". Bring out the tissues this present usually will make the recipient a bit sappy. xoxo Julie

Hi, Julie! We have made coupon books in the past. The recipient is always happy to recieve these. I love your kisses idea. I did something like that last year. It's it nice when we can take simple ideas, wrap them in a pretty package and present them filled with love. Simple and sweet....Love it!

Simple and sweet are the words I live by! And if there are tears they know it was from the heart! Just a quick extra note they make heart shaped cup cake wrappers now. They are more like a heavy aluminum foil instead of the normal cup cake wrap. We put chocolate cake mix in them and frost with chocolate frosting YUM...I let the kids decorate the tops with cute sayings in red icing. Something extra special...a chocolate version of the candy hearts.
