I've sold my SOUL...
...to the company store. Oh yes, it's true... (but there's no need to tell my husband, since it's a "workârelated" thing, right?!?!)
So in midst of self-reflection, I can honestly say that I'm the most tainted, picky, "over-it-and-on-to-the-next" person on the team when it comes to decorative objects, jewelry, and fashion. Love it today - and then I'm on to the next. So... for me to actually purchase and LIVE with the following items is noteworthy indeed! (You most likely will need to surrender to them too... delicious indulgences that you will love forever!!!)
Oh... and if you do find yourself giving in to your stylish cravings... be sure to blog back to us, so we know if your fancy has been tickled too...
Enjoy the spring mix as much as I am!!!

Love this combination! European preppy meets
mouth-watering vintage... My fantasy bedding!!!
This turns my heart a-flutter... ruby red hand-painted
leather atop Chippendale bamboo. (Biting my knuckle...) I really
would like two; one for each side of our rustic hearth.
I already know that I will still love this in 30 years...
Versatile and perfect each and every day (or night). I'm
in need of a few classic pieces... and this one is easy.
Tracy & I were hunting for antiques in London last year...
saw beauties that remind me of this... but they were far
too expensive to bear. Left them behind... but I've brought this
one home. I love it! It graces our foyer and makes me smile.
I'm on an eternal quest for fabulous shoes that I can
wear to the studio each day... I am SMITTEN.
I have them in my kitchen... the kids take turns
lighting the candles inside each night before dinner.
The color is delicious and I love their exotic allure.
I know it's not possible for jewelry to
flirt... but WOW. I wear it around the studio
all the time and it is GORGEOUS!!!

Sarah, The bamboo/painted leather stool sends my heart a flutter too!
I am with ya there on the "over and on to the next" thing. As someone who is in the home decor industry, I am always coming up with new colors and painting techniques for other peoples homes. I fall in love with it and want it in my home. Then I am over it and fall in love with another technique we implemented elsewhere and i am in the same predicament. My husband is so gracious with it all:)
Love, love LOVE the bedding. I'm new to your blog, I must say, I'll be frequenting consistently. It's an inspiration daily!
Welcome Melissa, I too have worked as an interior designer. It does help you use the trends without involving your own house and $. Tracy's style is more REAL. It's relaxed and comfortable. I love everything she does, especially telling us to pay attention to the "moments" of our life. Some of this comes with age but a lot of it is just living in the NOW with a conscous effort to be who we are.
Tracy, et al: We have another talent in our midst. You should see "Artist's" art. VERY talented...
Thank you Virginia!!!! I am so glad you liked it.
Yes, she is called, "Artist" for a reason. I want to commission her for something....just trying to decide at the moment. :)
Both of you flatter me. I am blushing all over N.C.!!!!! Tracy, is there a way I can show you my art?
Me too (CC, about commissioning...) I LOVE fruit, love the shells. She is gifted!
Artist do you have a website where we can see your beautiful work!!? So many creative people and we love sharing good things when we find them! Please do share, sorry If you have already listed it and I missed it.....xo
Sorry Tracy, no website for my art yet. I just left a gallery and went on my own. Galleries today take a BIG chunk of your profit. I have been so busy locally ( thank goodness) that I haven't gone to web yet. Perhaps I can email or post mail you some images. I'd love to share. There just aren't enough hours in each day and a website is very time consuming as you know.
I don't leave comments very often but follow you gals every day. What a fun, creative, inspiring bunch of ladies!! Artist- I know the feeling about not having enough hours in the day. My friend and I have a business designing and hand-making children's clothing and accessories but due to the fact that we both have 2 small children we are calling it quits for now (breaks my heart). You can still visit our website at www.oneofeachdesigns.com for inspiration of the toddler variety! :)
And since some are sharing their blog addresses as well, you can view some of my interior decorating work at www.williamsoneofeach.blogspot.com
You guys are great!!
artist- I want to see too! Why don't you create a blog? Maybe you have one and I am missing it. They are super easy, and Google's blogger is so simple. You can post your pic's there, and then, voila...FREE MARKETING! I must admit though, if it weren't for the pushing and the persistence of my husband, I wouldn't have a website or blog to show my work either. It probably will take you 30 minutes to an hour to create your own blog:)
Sarah, once again, APPLAUSE and heartfelt thanks to you for sharing your talent with all of us. Weather it be the website or the catalog I NEVER tire of the beautful pictures and settings. Thanks!
You guys must think I am tech savy!! I am LOL at your suggestion.I am a true artist no math or science in this brain. I do appreciate the fact that you want to see my art. Maybe I can get help from my son to make it happen. You are so good for my ego!
Okay, Stephanie...come out, come out wherever you are!!! You musn't hide any longer. :) We are a nice group and love hearing from you. And, since you are going into semi-retirement with you business (I am sorry about that but remember our lives are given to us in seasons....it will come back around for you!) you will have more time to blog!!!
Melissa, did I miss your blog post? Please, let us know where we can see your work. Thanks!!!
Sarah - I cc CC. I do sigh aloud when I click to a new picture on the website. The colors, the verbiage, the fonts, oh my! (Now say that to the "Wizard of Oz" tune...). (Virginia)
Please do, artist. It is super easy once you get going. And you will be AMAZED at how it helps market your work. I am not so tech savy either, but my husband is "MR. APPLE" so I hear it all the time. I guess I take for granted all his tech help.
Notable Relics! Did you see those 3 pieces??? They appeal so to me...yowser!
Hi CC! I'm here! I have been cleaning out my closet today. It's amazing how much better things look on wooden clothes hangers. Must make a trip to Target tomorrow to get more. By the way, I have promised myself to by at least 1 Tracy Porter item every time I go to Target (which is at least once a week) to add to my collection! and its working marvelously!!
I, myself am getting confused as to who everyone is on the blog (and their backgrounds) so I think it would be a lovely idea to do bio's on Tracy's staff as well as bio's on ourselves so in my pea-brain I can keep it all straight :)
Stephanis, bios of Tracy's staff would be wonderful. Please consider it Tracy, now that we are all family.
Bio's would be great. Great idea, Stephanie!
Sephanie, does your Target carry a lot of Tracy goodies? Unfortunately, ours does not carry a whole bunch. I keep looking each time I go...Like you, in hopes of bringing something home. But, my Target only has one dinner ware pattern. Tracy...is this usual? What does your Target line have in it?
CC, my Target has only Tracy dinnerware in one pattern. No other Tracy goodies. What else is out there in Target?
CC- I happen to have a new SuperTarget by my house and they have at least 2 different patterns, sets of 4ea. plates, bowls, etc. and then they have the rectangular trays/platters to match (which I personally love) I have 2 of them and they are great for serving. I did sushi on them the other night and it looked fantastic! They also have little dipping bowls (not sure if that's what they are actually called) but they worked great for the soy/wasabi combo. They also have the tea-for-one that matches each pattern. Hope this helps, just keep looking :) or check out a different Target - I am definetely hooked!
I know, as I have said before, I am knew to Tracy Porter, but now that I have found out about TP, I look for her stuff in my Target and can't find anything. And I live in a somewhat big city. I need to own something TP!!!!
Melissa, jump in and order something. I just ordered the Goddess Wrap. It is a lovely paisley which is my weakness. It also has sea shells sewn on it. That baby will adorn I can think of a million ways to use her. By the way, she looks beautiful on Robyn in the shopping photo. Take the plunge. Once you order you will see how wonderful the quality is.
Stephanie, did you make your own sushi? Got a good recipe to share?
Artist, I'm sure the quality is superb. I was flipping through the Tracy Porter catalog, again, and the pictures just make everything look so luscious!
My favorite is the green and blue damask throw. That is sooooo me!
Melissa-we could order at the same time: you get the green & blue throw. The "fern" throw is so me. You will be thrilled with the quality - from their packaging to the product! Join the club! :)
My Goddess wrap came today. Very Bohemian. I may wear it this weekend over a black pantsuit. Then....put it on my table next week......then, throw it over a sofa the following week. Get the picture? I could go on and on.
My own sushi, oh heavens no, that is definetely one of the items that I cheat on. For our Valentines dinner "in" with the kids I purchased fresh sushi at the store, gave the little ones crab legs (boy did they love that), plain rice, edemame and made sure I had fortune cookies and almond cookies of course! Always take the theme and run with it, right?!
Ask me about pretty much any other recipe but just not sushi :) Hey, on the subject of recipes, what ever happened to Netty (sp?) and her recipes?
artist, after you throw it on your sofa, you could throw it in a mailing envelope and send it over to me:)
Melissa, you are too cute!!!
I am with Stephanie on Nettie and the recipes. I think it would be fun if Nettie would do a Top 10 of her recipes also!! Wouldn't that be cool? My mind works in weird ways sometimes....but, Tracy...can you do a Top 10 of your all time favorite books, or keep a list for your Top 10 books of 2008? And Sarah, you can do a Top 10 of ?? favorite websites?? favorite fashion must-haves?? And still gotta have Katie's top 10 make-up. Ok, I admit to some compulsive thinking at times....:O)
Priss - you & me both! We think Tracy's Reading Recommendations is forthcoming. And, Katie's beauty list too. Woo-hoo. Tracy & Team: Are we too demanding? It's because we feel we "know" you and we're connected.
