Do you ever...

* Create a beautiful porch vignette? Usually, I'm all about bringing the outdoors in... but during the summer months, I love decorating our screen porch just as I would any other room in our home!
* Give your favorite potato salad a little twist? Try stirring in Kalamata olives, capers, roasted red peppers, sun-dried tomato chutney, or spicy brown mustard.
* Crave watching It's A Wonderful Life... in August?? (I do. Then again, I'm the one playing Christmas music in July......)
* Have your girlfriends over for Sunday morning brunch? Ooh, and for an extra special touch... try sipping champagne with strawberry French toast!
* Coax your relatives into telling outlandish stories from their youth? (You might just be surprised at what they share!)
* Set a beautiful table... for one? I'll admit, it's pretty rare that I have a moment all to myself these days... but ah, when I do...... what a great way to experiment with mixing and matching your pretty things... AND a wonderful excuse to pamper yourself in the process!
* Enjoy mint tea with lemon cookies? Cheerio!

I love it! I listen to Christmas music beginning in September when the kids go back to school...it is the time of year when I enjoy "the calm before the storm"...I love dreaming about all of the memorable memory making I will be manifesting in December for the family!

One of the main reasons we bought our home was because of the screen porch. It's become my napping spot. So I love how you've hung art on the walls. Talk about landscape against landscape!

We are finally back in our house
after having a fire last December.
I am so looking forward to Fall
this year, maybe my house will be
in order by then. You always inspire
me to decorate, decorate, decorate,
but, your bookshelves are "devine"!

And I thought I was the only one who watched It's A Wonderful Life all year long! And the Christmas music-always at the ready in my car and home! Nice to know there are kindred spirits out there! As a matter of fact I just listened to James Taylor's Christmas CD on my commute this very morning! Imagine! I think it's very important to keep a little Christmas in your heart & in your home all year long!
Love the do you ever- yes, I do! My whole garden space is one big outdoor living area. In the Midwest- you have to enjoy the outdoors while you can!
I love my porch too. I put an antique mirror out there, but never thought about a print. Hmmm....'gotta go to a flea market soon. Thanks for the tip!
